Hah! you may ask: what a strange title - Islam, easy, and then NLP - what do all these have to do with one another ?
Especially: why include Islam in a blog mainly about recognizing, understanding and developing one’s core qualities - all I can say for now is: you’ll see, just be patient - there’s more to it than most people know … or think they know. Well, o.k. then - I will already lift up just a tip of the veil here for those who may be too impatient to wait: in essence, it has to do with the fact that in Islam, we found an age-old system of basic values that have always been typically part of the human inner landscape. We invite you not to jump onto your feet here, wholeheartedly protesting that this is not what we see reported in the news every day, but to bear with us and let us show you the true Islam that has nothing to do with the people who are in such a mess that they cheaply try to hide their inner confusion and cries for attention under the first cover they find at hand, too far gone to realize how they are adding crime unto crime. Let’s leave them aside and concentrate on our mission to construct a better world through better self knowledge and mutual understanding, so we can help prevent this type of extremism through positive action, and by offering our brothers of all faiths a friendly hand, as this is the only way to heal the type of deep-felt hurt that finds no other way of expressing itself than to hurt others as well.
Now that we have mentiones the subject of global brotherhood across all frontiers, we like to mention one element we particularly like in Islam, which is the fact that its a spiritual model does not rely on a host of god-like, half-godlike and other mythical figurines, and therefore does provide a neutral frame for people from all cultures and backgrounds to communicate and cooperate without having to hurt each other’s feelings. Furthermore, we did feel this might be the right place and opportunity to not only help set things straight, but also to give people access to the great wisdom and even more surpising stuff well hidden inside it, hidden from most of us too well for too long, a situation that clearly needs remedying.
